Gojoseon(BC2333 ~ BC108) was the first country established by the Korean people based on bronzeware.

Gojoseon was a rival to China's Yan Dynasty. Gojoseon lost her territory due to the invasion of the Yan Dynasty around BC300 and moved the capital from the Yoyang to the Taedong River basin in the east.

It was now Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea.

Ironically, Gojoseon became more agricultural productive and more populous after moving the capital,

as Pyongyang was a plain along a large river.

There were eight laws in Gojoseon. Three of them are known.

The first was the death penalty for committing murder.

The second was to compensate them grain if they hurt anyone else.

The third was to make them a slave or compensate 500,000 Jeon if they stole someone else's goods.

Judging from these provisions,

it can be seen that Gojoseon valued labor and developed a private property system.

Let's find out about the situation in China at this time

to understand China's Yan Dynasty and Han Dynasty,

which were competing with Gojoseon. China's first country was Xia.

And China passes through the Shang, and Zhou Dynasties to become

the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period.

During the Spring and Autumn Period (BC770–BC403),

more than 140 countries fought to expand

their influence in recognition of the Zhou as their leader.

Of course, Zhou was a scarecrow because she weakened her power.

They did not destroy other countries. Unlike the Spring and Autumn Period,

ironware was completely settled during the Warring States Period (BC403-221).

Based on iron weapons, countries from the Spring and Autumn Period

engaged in a vigorous slaughter war.

They did not recognize the Zhou as a leader and fought for 200 years

until the last one remained. Unlike the Spring and Autumn period, they united other countries.

The country that unified the Warring States Period was Qin Shi Huang's Qin Dynasty.

However, the Qin Dynasty collapsed after 15 years due to Qin Shi Huang's tyranny.

China was then divided into Chu and Han, and then unified by the Han Dynasty (BC202 to AD 220).

The Yan Dynasty, which attacked Gojoseon,

existed in the Chinese continent

during the Spring and Autumn periods and the Warring States Period.

Around the 2nd century BC, a man named Wiman,

who lived in the area of the former Yan Dynasty, visited the Jun King of Gojoseon.

It was around the time when China was replaced from Qin to Han.

China was very confused and there was nothing strange

about most people being stabbed to death tomorrow.

Weiman was able to produce advanced iron weapons and received much trust

from King Jun because Wiman was from Gojoseon.

He was appointed as the head of the border guards guarding the border area of Gojoseon.

But this was a mistake by the Jun. Wiman, who developed military power from the periphery,

led the army to the capital of Gojoseon and attacked King Jun.

King Jun fled to the south of the Korean Peninsula due to the attack.

King Jun becomes the king of a country called Jin.

It is a different country from the Jin Dynasty of China.

There is various evidence that Weiman was not a Chinese but a Gojoseon people.

The fact that he wore white clothes, that he had a Korean hairstyle

called 'Sangtu', and that After he drove out King Jun, maintained the name of Joseon,

and accepted existing government officials.
